The World Nature Photography Awards is a global nature and wildlife photography contest run by Alternative Future Ltd, now in its sixth year, offering a platform for impactful visual storytelling.
- Organisers & Credibility: Hosted by Alternative Future Ltd, recognized internationally for combining powerful imagery with sustainability principles.
- Eligibility & Ethics: Open to amateur and professional photographers everywhere; AI‑generated imagery and images of tied or captive animals are disallowed.
- Categories: Includes Animal Portraits, Behavioural Series, Urban Wildlife, Underwater, Plant & Fungi, People & Nature, Nature Art, Landscapes & Environments, Black & White, Nature Photojournalism.
- Submission Guidelines: Online-only entries; unlimited images per photographer; metadata and RAW files required for finalists; no watermarks or borders permitted.
- Entry Fees: Standard rate £30 per entry (up to six images); late entries £33; paid via PayPal; non-refundable.
- Prizes: Category Gold, Silver and Bronze awarded; top-scoring Gold holder crowned “World Nature Photographer of the Year” with a US $1,000 cash prize.
